Hangman's Pond (The Brackenford Cycle #2) by Nick Moseley ★★★★☆

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes gasping in indignation with multiple emotion hashtags popping up like gasp hella rude wtf uncalled for etc
Oscar shook his head. ‘No, Trev. The fact that you’re a bad person is what makes you a bad person.’

Location, Location, Damnation (The Brackenford Cycle #1) by Nick Moseley ★★★☆☆

Amanda Tapping Screaming Bloody Hell!
“You wanted spooky, you got it,” said Trev, a little unkindly.

Fish & Chips (Cut & Run #3) by Abigail Roux, Madeleine Urban ★★★☆☆

The torsos of two muscular men embracing the caption says You're so freaking romantic I don't know how to keep my pants on
Book Three was the steamiest Cut & Run to date with, initially at least, the most interesting case.

Sticks & Stones (Cut & Run #2) by Abigail Roux, Madeleine Urban ★★★☆☆

Charlie O'Connell with New York in the background and the caption reads Home Zane said slowly smiling a little at Ty's playful words To West By God Virginia And you want me to just tag along
This is my second Cut & Run and I feel it suffers from the same problems as the first: extreme relationship introspection without enough action of any kind.

The difference is that now that I know Ty and Zane from book one I'm more entertained by their relationship progress.

Cut & Run (Cut & Run #1) by Madeleine Urban, Abigail Roux ★★★☆☆

A young Jason Lewis by the rocky shore giving the camera a steamy look the caption reads Zane was starting to piss him off again Which was good he supposed It meant the urge to lick him all over was passing at least
The Good: Original, complicated MCs, sexy sex, and an interesting set of serial murders.

Pet Sematary by Stephen King ★★★★★

A monkey slowly changes into a man then sees the Elder God of Mythos and runs like hell he caption reads A Man Grows What He Can and he Oh Shit
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
- H.P. Lovecraft The Nameless City (1921)

The most Lovecrafty of all the King’s I’ve read.

Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid ★★★★★

A beautiful young red head laying on the grass her hair spread out surrounded by bright daisies
I am not a muse.
I am the somebody.
End of fucking story.
- Daisy Jones

The Drowning Girl by Caitlín R. Kiernan ★★★★☆

A dark painting of a prostrate woman in red in a spot of light completely surrounded by darkness filled with wolves the caption reads Nobody Is Ever Coming For You
“We weave necessary fictions, and sometimes they save us. Our minds, our bodies.”
- Imp

“You know now that you’ll never be sure what happened?”
- Dr. Ogilvy

Wow. So there are unreliable narrators and then there are schizophrenics. Had I never read PKD I would have been unprepared.

The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive #1) by Brandon Sanderson ★★★★☆

Painting of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the mist

Half of this book is endless warfare with ninja turtles over gems inside monstrous snails told from the POV of a slave with depression.

The Frame-Up (The Golden Arrow #1) by Meghan Scott Molin ★★★★☆

Photograph of a beautiful young woman with blue hair smiling confidently with the caption I am the Han frickin' Solo of my destiny now

Geek chic romantic suspense, why thank you kindle first!
