Huntress Moon (The Huntress/FBI Thrillers #1) by Alexandra Sokoloff ★★★★★

“She thinks, for the millionth time, that being a woman is the world’s most perfect camouflage.”

It would be so easy to call this a story of a female Dexter, but that would be simplistic and unworthy of Cara. Dexter is a wry constrained chameleon who, for most of his life, did not remember the violence of his rebirth.

Cara never forgot.

She stands tall in all black, a shockingly violent mankiller - a beautiful, haunted woman. Cara has presence.

This is not just a tale of a killer, this is Santa Muerte retold.

"As you know, we haven’t seen anyone like Wuornos before or since. But to be perfectly blunt, I’ve never understood why we don’t see more women acting out in a similar way. God knows enough of them have reason.”

Yes, they do.
