Oh my what a mixed bag. I almost ditched this twice due to my dislike of Kate’s repellent snark and disdain. Mostly, I’m glad I finished.

There’s even a chance I’ll continue the series because it has clever, well thought out plot, serious bad guys, powerful complex factions, and truly excellent action pacing.

But God, Kate is an example of how one bad character can break even the best story.

*Audio: I did not like the narrator. She had a gooey sugar talking-down-to-you voice. Like an elementary school teacher you didn’t want touching you.
